President Obama pledges to close down Guantanamo Bay within one year. The President said closing Guantanamo is for America’s national security.

National Security entails Natural and Man-Made Disasters. These 21st Century global issues, consists of Global Warming and Modern Day Biological Warfare. Ike, and Katrina; Typhoons, and Tropical Cyclones; Oil Spills and Structural Failures; Tornadoes; Tsunamis, Volcanoes, all; are natural disasters.

Terrorism and Man-Man Disasters includes Nuclear, and Incendiary Explosions; Germ; Chemical and Biological Warfare. In an age of global warming trends, and biological warfare; it’s ludicrous not to discuss a plan of action with family members. Guantanamo Bay and National Security trailer is sequel 2; of “Community Awareness Preparedness”.

Since the posting of sequel 1; (Community Awareness Preparedness); some may have seen service announcement ads about families having a plan of action. Karen Wilcox, President of Black Women in Fire Service says it’s important to reach the young people, and involve them in the planning of community awareness preparedness. Music is used to reach the younger audience; to alert, inform, and communicate the importance of having an emergency and evacuation plan intact to recover from a Natural or Man-Made disaster.

“Moody and Fitch matters.”

Australia’s Prime Minister Julia Gillard said Americans should not over-react to the Standard & Poor’s downgrade of US debt. The prime minister said that the two other key agencies Moody and Fitch still rated US Treasuries at top grade. Gillard said on Saturday S&P “had been signalling for some time that unless they saw a certain figure in America’s budget and fiscal consolidation, (spending and taxes), that S & P were going to downgrade.
At the same time, the other two major ratings agencies, Moody and Fitch, continue to have the American economy rated at AAA. “So I think people just need to look at all of the facts”, said Gillard. With global markets already in turmoil, S&P cut the US rating late Friday from triple-A rating to double AA+. S&P negative outlook reflects global markets; a problem that was in motion way before President Obama came into office. G-7 ministers will talk early Monday morning on global market stability.

The Deficit and Taxes: America is only 235 years old. Blacks were enslaved a lot longer than America’s Declaration of Independence from Great Britain in 1776. The Revolution against the British Crown earned the Union liberty to keep her taxes, and maintain sole ownership of her slaves in the new land of freedom. The Founders’ fight is much like the fight we see today in the Halls of Congress. The debate is over taxes. Moving toward Election 2012, jobs will be the motivating factor on how mainstream voters cast their vote. Liberals versus Conservatives are political divisive terms; a game of politics. The elephant in the room is “jobs”. And mainstream Americans are carrying the weight of the deficit, “joblessness.” And what’s the Tea Party Agenda?; “a good old Boston Tea Massacre.”
